A (very) small (green) tale
The iron wasn't firing up, and I was all set to throw it out when Tom took a look and said he could fix it by replacing the plug. So, a trip to the hardware store, a quick snip, some wire stripping and reattachments, and he gave one perfectly good iron a second life. A note of caution: this plug is now way heavier, and it rolls. So if you're in the habit of unplugging your iron and leaving it to cool with the unplugged cord heaped loosely on the ironing board, don't. It may fall. Don't do that anyway: not good for children and animals.
